Welcome to the blog. My name is Heather. Complete Disclosure Alert: I’m not really a princess. I don’t hold a title bestowed on me by royalty. I am actually an ordinary little “L” lady who has her head in the clouds most of the time. The “title” was actually bestowed on me by my husband, who claims I can be a bit high maintenance and demanding at times (although, I have no idea what he is referring to at all).

You might be interested to know that there isn‘t a real castle either. Although it would be amazing to live in a castle, well at least to stay in one for a few days. I could ramble on an on about the upkeep and cleaning of a castle alone! But it would be an adventure.

Castle in the Air

This blog will be a collection of musings and ramblings from this self-proclaimed princess. When I say princess I do not mean fluffy dresses and tantrums kind of princess. Think a combination of Anna (Frozen) and Rapunzel (Tangled). A character who is a bit quirky but likable and relatable.

A bit about me, if you are interested. I was born in the USA, but moved around a lot growing up. You won’t be able to pinpoint my location based on my accent, people have tried and failed. The longest I lived in one place was about 10 years. I was able to go to 8th grade through college in Virginia. I married my prince in 2009, which began the moving around process again. Together, we have lived in North Carolina, Nepal (the country of), Indiana, North Carolina again, and are currently living in Sub-Saharan Africa.
